on either side of the structure prevent erosion, and red and white
markers indicate the edges. Stone "wings" were added to either end
to prevent the water from re-routing around the causeway.
Now, even
when the seasonal river floods the causeway with up to
8 inches of water, vehicles and people will still have safe passage.
